How to shoot packshots
The purpose of a pack shot is to allow a customer to easily recognise any given product in-store on the shelf. This means a packshot has certain requirements which need to be met. The first is to have a plain background. This is to keep the focus on the product and emulate the white shelving often found in stores. The second thing is to photograph the product with any packaging it may come with. This is not always neccesary however will allow customers to more easily ideniftiy the product when inside the packaging and gives the product inside a sense of scale.
